3D-CON's 3-D Theater brings you 5 days of incredible videos, slideshows, and panel discussions designed to entertain, inform, awe, and inspire. The Stereo Theater will feature high-resolution state-of-the-art digital projection and will present an eclectic mix of first-rate programs encompassing an immense range of subjects and techniques. Time	WEDNESDAY, July 25
8pm	Theater Opening A special program designed to welcome everyone to the 2012 National Stereoscopic Association's 3D-CON. Get acquainted with Costa Mesa and the NSA. This show is open to everyone - no convention registration required!
	THURSDAY, July 26
9-11am	Stereoscopic Photography I Thursday's blocks will focus on stereoscopic photography and photographers, including a special engagement with internationally renowned 3-D photographer Jack Laxer, and a showing of all of the entries to the NVIDIA 3-D SHOWCASE.

2-3pm	Shooting 2D for a 3D World: A discussion A discussion of the key creative and technical issues in shooting 2D for a converted 3D theatrical presentation. Covering helpful tips from script, prep, shoot, vfx production, and conversion. Presented by Aaron Parry and Graham Clark of StereoD.
3-6pm	Stereoscopic Photography III
8pm	In Conversation: Suzanne Lloyd During the 1920's Harold Lloyd was the most successful film star in the world. A prolific 3-D photographer, he was a founding member and the first President of the Hollywood Stereoscopic Society. Suzanne Lloyd is the granddaughter of Harold Lloyd and was raised by him at his magnificent estate, Greenacres, in Beverly Hills, California. She was executive producer of the documentary Harold Lloyd: The Third Genius and author of 3-D Hollywood, Harold Lloyd: Master Comedian, and Harold Lloyd's Hollywood Nudes in 3-D! Suzanne Lloyd considers it an honor to preserve and promote Harold Lloyd's legacy for future generations. Suzanne will present a selection of Harold Lloyd's stereo images, and share her memories of her grandfather with 3-D historian Ray Zone.
9pm	Converting 2-D to 3-D From the famous clock scene in Harold Lloyd's "Safety Last" to current Hollywood blockbusters. Dr. Barry Sandrew discusses the art of 3-D conversion. Barry Sandrew, Ph.D., founder, CCO and CTO of Legend3D, Inc., received his doctorate in neuroscience from State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1977. After receiving his doctorate, he worked at Mass General Hospital and Harvard Medical School as a neuroscientist. An entrepreneur at heart and a fiercely independent thinker, Sandrew left his academic and scientific career to start American Film Technologies (AFT), and invent the first all-digital colorization process for colorizing black and white films. His risk paid off. He took AFT public while converting hundreds of movies for clients such as Disney, Warner Bros., Fox, ABC and CBS. Sandrew then started two companies, one of which was Lightspan - one of the largest educational software companies in the world. Lightspan eventually went public and was acquired by Plato Learning. In 2000, Sandrew founded Legend Films and began re-inventing colorization and developed a proprietary restoration process. In 2006, Sandrew recognized that the future of entertainment was going to be 3D and took action to challenge conventional thinking. He leveraged his proprietary colorization pipeline and modified the direction of the R&D initiative and the business model to embrace 2D-to-3D conversion, changing the name of the company to Legend3D. Sandrew is a visual effects pioneer and digital imaging expert with more than 14 VFX patents and 23 years of feature film and TV experience. As the mastermind behind the 2D-to-3D conversion of some of Hollywood's most acclaimed titles, including Martin Scorsese's Hugo and Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Sandrew's expertise in digital imaging and quality conversion has made him a sought after stereo expert.
	FRIDAY, July 27
9am-noon	3-D Movies Eclectic Mix I Programs will include short films ranging from documentaries to comedies, dramas, and animation.
1-3pm	3-D Movies Eclectic Mix II
3-4pm	Presentation on the Status of 3D Worldwide by Jim Chabin, President & CEO of the International 3D Society.
4-5pm	Keynote Presentation by Lenny Lipton
8-10pm	Spotlight on 3-D in Music Videos Featuring works from a number of artists who have recently delved into the world of 3-D including OK Go, The Shins, Foster The People, AWOLNATION, The Totally Wow, and many other bands. Followed by a discussion with some of the people behind the music and the 3-D.
10:30pm-midnight	Friday After Dark !ADULTS ONLY! The 3-D Theater presents an ADULTS ONLY screening of the racy, risque, and grotesque. From glamorous pinups, to adult parodies of Hollywood classics, to a zombie gorefest, this is a block of shorts geared just for GROWN-UPS, and guaranteed to raise your pulse rate. This program will contain violence, profanity, nudity, and include content of a sexual nature. NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 WILL BE ADMITTED!
	SATURDAY, July 28
11am-1pm	International 3-D shows I More movies and shows with an international flavor of 3-D covering photography and motion pictures from around the world.
2-4pm	International 3-D shows II
4-5pm	Behind the 3D of Columbia Pictures' The Amazing Spider-Man. With Rob Engle, Eric Deren, Jason Goodman and Jeff Amaral. Moderated by Jon Schnitzer. Technologies and techniques used to shoot the picture in native 3D, and the art and craft of bringing the world of the web-slinging hero to full, three dimensional life on screen.
8:30-10:30pm	Brian May's Brief History of 3-D Dr. Brian May will introduce the US premiere of his brilliant documentary which provides an overview of the stereoscopic arts from it's origins to the digital present. Followed by a conversation between Dr. May and 3-D historian Ray Zone.
11pm-midnight	Saturday Late Night Comedy A full screening of the comedy film SAFETY GEEKS: SVI, as seen in the workshop presentation "3D and Comedy: A Panel Discussion Exploring New Dimensions in Funny"

	SUNDAY, July 29
10am-noon	Showcase of Award Winners All of the award winning content of the convention replays for you to enjoy again.
1-2:30pm	Special Pre-Recorded Presentation on 3-D in Video Games and Entertainment. Presented by Sony Computer Entertainment, and featuring Ian Bickerstaff, Simon Benson and Buzz Hays. Followed by a Q&A with Mr Hays.
2:30-3pm	3-D Gaming
7:30pm-9pm	3-D Glasses Fashion Show at the Pool Come outside to see the latest in stylish stereoscopic eye-wear. Presented by Stereo Sisters and hosted by Shannon Benna.
9pm-11pm	Sunday Dive-In Theater Join us at the hotel pool for the return of the DIVE-IN THEATER. Enjoy this "secret screening" of a 3-D feature film from the comfort of a poolside lounge chair, or from in the pool itself. We can't tell you what the movie is yet - that's our secret, but we guarantee you'll have fun at this party to celebrate the last night of 3D-CON.
	MONDAY, July 30
	"Trailer Park" For those joining us on the excursion to Los Angeles - we'll have a special stop at the Downtown Independent theater for a look at the latest 3-D coming attractions.
